“Suryamitra Training Program” initiated by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) is conducting “Suryamitra” training program to provide skilled technicians for installation, commissioning, Operation & Maintenance in the field of solar technology. The main objective of this program is to train the 10+2 passed, ITI/diploma holders/ as field technicians to execute National Solar Mission (NSM) programmes across the country. Switch ON (Environment Conservation society) a leading NGO in West Bengal has been appointed as a partner institution to conduct training program in West Bengal.
The training will be held at the TapovON Solar Academy in Village Betna, Hanskhali, Nadia. The training will be a full time 3 month residential training with a mixture of classroom and practical training about solar energy and related topics. The students will be trained in the installation, operation and maintenance of the solar system. There is no fees to be paid by the trainees for this training. During the training basic accommodation, food and training material will be provided. On successful completion of the training and passing of the written and practical test, the trainees will be awarded a certificate and a chance to get placed full time or part time with companies in solar or related field.
– Not less than 18 years of age.
– ITI and diploma holders in Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics branches. (Persons with higher qualifications are not eligible for this program)
– Persons belonging to rural areas.
– Women/SC/ST candidates are encouraged to apply.
